Yes, if a high operating temperature is detected it will automatically turn off (we recommend not leaving the vehicle in sunlight as this can increase cabin temperature and cause the FH7000 to turn off)

Yes it has an external emergency button to manually record an event

Yes. The FH7000 will turn off automatically if a voltage drop is detected when vehicle is not running. We recommend disconnecting the FH7000 from its power source if a vehicle is left standing for extended periods of time.

The FH7000 is designed to not vibrate. InCarWitness always recommend SD Cards with no moving parts

We use very strong sticky pads. Other units use suction cups that require the user to fix the unit to the windscreen which have proved not to be strong enough in the event of an impact, and have been known to fall of, thus losing valuable data and no video of the incident. Using these sticky pads bypasses this problem and you also get no vibration on the resultant video

What is a car blackbox?

Taking its name from the box that records in flight information on a
plane the car blackbox also records video and various information to a
removable media.

What video compression is used?

The JS300 RoadEye comes with GPS module as standard.

Does the JS300 have an accelerometer (G-Forces)?

Yes, The JS300 RoadEye has this function installed, accessed via the software to change its sensitivity.

Can we access the JS300 remotely?

No; The RoadEye cannot be accessed remotely by GPRS or via a network.

Does the JS300 allow IP cameras?

No; none work with IP cameras.

Can the JS300 display the Speed of the vehicle?

Yes, The JS300 RoadEye has a GPS module installed and this calculates
vehicle speed and will show when played on the supplied software
included.

Are the recordings protected in some way?

Yes; the files are stored in a proprietary format; which can be opened with our software to prove its authenticity.

Can I synchronize time with other devices?

Yes; the RoadEye synchronize's it's time with its GPS signal and stamps this time on the recorded video file.

Does the JS300 automatically recycle the SD Card?

Yes; by default it will OVERWRITE the SD card once it has a no more
empty space. We recommend at least 8GB cards. Available at extra cost

How does the JS300 protect the data from vibration?

The JS300 is designed to not vibrate. Incarwitness always recommend SD Cards with no moving parts

What is the quality and resolution for the JS300?

H264 VGA 650 x 450 up to 30fps, 2Ch use VGA 640 x 480 up to 15 fps

Are the video channels independently configured?

No; when you modify the settings for one channel; the change will apply to the rest.

Are you streaming GPS or other metadata together with the video? Do you use a separate file format?

The RoadEye splits the metadata into seperate files, which can be veiwed using the supplied software.

What kind of information can I find in a video file extracted from an original file?

The resultant video file will have Video and Audio only. Meta data is held in a seperate location and will show date, time and location when played in the supplied software.
