Yes; by default it will OVERWRITE the SD card once it has a no more empty space. We recommend formatting the card weekly. We recommend at least 16GB cards.

We use very strong sticky pads. Other units use suction cups that require the user to fix the unit to the windscreen which have proved not to be strong enough in the event of an impact, and have been known to fall of, thus losing valuable data and no video of the incident. Using these sticky pads bypasses this problem and you also get no vibration on the resultant video
